Amazon’s $4 Billion Push to Speed Up Prime Delivery by 2026

As of June 24, 2025, Amazon is investing $4 billion to triple its rural delivery network by 2026, aiming to deliver same-day and next-day Prime orders to over 4,000 small towns and cities, from Milton, Florida, to North Pole, Alaska.
Prime members can access free same-day delivery on orders over $25 across 300 million items, cutting delivery times in half for places like Lewes, Delaware, using AI-powered hybrid hubs.
The expansion will add over 200 delivery stations, each creating about 170 jobs, boosting rural economies through roles in Amazon’s DSP and Flex programs.
Prime members can join for $14.99/month to tap into these faster Prime delivery speeds, already live in over 1,000 small towns, per Amazon’s announcement.
