Anthropic has appointed Rahul Patil as its new Chief Technology Officer, where he will lead engineering for product, compute, infrastructure, data science, and security as the company builds out its AI platform, Claude.
Patil brings over two decades of experience from his time at Stripe, AWS, Microsoft, and Oracle, where he has built resilient, large-scale infrastructure for millions of users globally.
Anthropic co-founder Daniela Amodei said the hiring reaffirms the company’s commitment to reliability and business growth as Claude expands globally.
Former CTO and co-founder Sam McCandlish will assume the role of Chief Architect, where he will be focusing on large-scale model training and reinforcement learning infrastructure to advance Anthropic’s research and development.
