Google has added a new image editing model from Google DeepMind into the Gemini app.
It lets you change details in photos, like clothing, backgrounds, or styles, while ensuring people and pets still look like themselves.
You can upload a single image and give text instructions, or combine multiple pictures to create new scenes. The model is designed to preserve character likeness while allowing users to be creative.
The update also brings multi-turn editing, which means you can make step-by-step adjustments instead of editing everything at once.
For example, you could change the color of a wall, add furniture, and then tweak lighting in sequence.
Every edited photo now includes a watermark and a hidden SynthID tag that shows it was AI-generated, adding transparency while giving users access to advanced tools.
