Google announced that all AI Pro and Ultra subscribers will now have access to Gemini CLI and Gemini Code Assist with higher model request limits.
The upgrade gives developers using Gemini 2.5 Pro and Flash more power, enabling smoother workflows and extended coding sessions without hitting usage caps. The rollout will be completed within 24 hours.
Gemini Code Assist, available in VS Code and IntelliJ since May, and the open-source Gemini CLI, launched in June, are designed to supercharge coding productivity.
With new features like IDE mode in VS Code, Zed integration, and GitHub actions for the CLI, Pro and Ultra users can now code, test, and deploy more efficiently than ever.
