Grammarly: Eight New Specialized AI Agents and Writing Surface

A woman typing on a laptop, focused on her emails in a cozy workspace.

Grammarly has launched eight specialized AI agents and a new AI-native writing surface called “docs.”

The AI agents are designed to provide targeted assistance for specific writing challenges, such as finding credible sources, checking originality, and evaluating work against a rubric.

This launch marks the first phase of a redesigned Grammarly platform that aims to use agentic AI to assist directly within the writing process.

According to the company, the new approach moves beyond simple suggestions to intelligent agents that understand context and actively help users achieve their communication goals.

The new Grammarly experience also includes “AI Chat,” an integrated assistant that helps with brainstorming and summarizing, available within docs.

The company plans to make the agents available to Grammarly Enterprise and Grammarly for Education customers later this year, with some agents (AI Detector and Plagiarism Checker) initially exclusive to Grammarly Pro users.
