Key upgrades include primitive type support in pattern matching, module import declarations, and compact source files to make coding easier for beginners.
New libraries like Structured Concurrency, Scoped Values, and the Vector API enhance productivity and reliability, especially in AI and multithreaded applications.
Security also takes center stage with features like PEM encodings for cryptographic objects and a Key Derivation Function API to prepare developers for quantum-safe encryption.
Oracle confirmed long-term support for Java 25 for at least eight years, ensuring enterprises can migrate quickly.
