Snapchat has announced two new features to give users more ways to personalize their chats: Infinite Retention and Group Streaks.

The updates reflect community feedback, with many Snapchatters asking for the ability to save conversations longer and build streaks with groups instead of just individuals.

With Infinite Retention, users can now save chats forever within any conversation.

The feature is customizable on a per-chat basis, and Snapchat notifies all participants when the setting changes to ensure clarity and transparency.

The new Group Streaks feature allows users to build and maintain streaks across group chats.

Every Snap shared contributes to the collective streak, as long as most members actively participate.

Group Streaks are optional, private, and can be restored within a week of ending, making them a fun and flexible way to celebrate connections with friends.

These updates highlight Snapchat’s focus on giving its community more control and more ways to connect.

With Infinite Retention and Group Streaks, users can preserve memories and strengthen bonds with both individuals and groups.
