Snapchat Rolls Out Memories Storage Plans

Snapchat is introducing new Memories Storage Plans to support users who have saved more than 5GB of Snaps.

Since its launch in 2016, over 1 trillion Memories have been stored, and the platform is now rolling out tiered options to ensure Snapchatters can keep preserving their most meaningful moments.

The new plans include 100GB, 250GB with Snapchat+, and up to 5TB with Snapchat Platinum, while those under the 5GB threshold won’t see any changes.

For Snapchatters exceeding the free 5GB limit, the company will provide 12 months of temporary storage before requiring an upgrade.

Users will always have the option to download their Memories to their devices, ensuring they don’t lose their content.

While the shift introduces paid storage for heavy users, Snapchat says the move allows continued investment in improving memories while honoring users’ value in saving life’s special moments.
