YouTube’s Ad Revenue Hits $9.8 Billion

Alphabet’s second-quarter earnings report reveals that YouTube ad revenue reached $9.8 billion, up from $8.66 billion year over year. This impressive 13% growth was fueled by both direct-response and brand advertising efforts.

This performance contributed to Alphabet’s total Google advertising revenue of $71.3 billion and helped Google Services achieve $82.5 billion, both showing robust double-digit increases.

Driven by this ad momentum, total revenue climbed 14% YoY to $96.4 billion, with YouTube and Cloud as standout performers.

Google Cloud surged 32%, and search revenue also grew, marking one of Alphabet’s strongest quarters yet.

Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai attributed the growth to AI-powered improvements like enhanced ad formats and tools such as AI Overviews and Gemini.
