Google rolled out its Gemini 2.5 Pro model for AI Mode on July 16, 2025, giving U.S. Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers beefier tools for tackling complex math, coding, and mixed-media queries.
It also launched Deep Search in AI Mode, using Gemini 2.5 Pro’s “query fan-out” trick to run hundreds of searches and spit out detailed, cited reports in minutes for tasks like work research or big buys like homes.
This upgrade aims to make Search a go-to for quick, deep insights.
