Amazon has introduced the Nova Act IDE extension, a new tool that allows developers to build, test, and deploy browser automation agents without leaving their IDE.
Available for Visual Studio Code, Cursor, and Kiro, the extension allows users to describe workflows in natural language, generate scripts, and refine them using notebook-style Builder Mode with step-by-step debugging and live previews.
Built on the Nova Act SDK (preview), the extension offers predefined templates for common web automation tasks like shopping, form filling, search, QA, and data extraction.
Developers can quickly generate production-ready Python scripts, integrate APIs and authentication, and validate workflows in real-world conditions.
The extension is open source under Apache 2.0 and free to use, designed to streamline end-to-end agent development.
