Meta has placed hundreds of millions of teens in Teen Accounts across Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, and today, it announced its global expansion to all platforms.

Teen Accounts introduce built-in protections like limits on direct messages, Live features, and exposure to age-inappropriate content, giving parents more peace of mind while helping teens enjoy safer online experiences.

In addition, Meta launched the School Partnership Program, allowing U.S. schools to report safety concerns such as bullying for faster review, and expanded its free online safety curriculum to reach one million middle schoolers.

The curriculum, developed with Childhelp and adapted for peer-led teaching, helps young people recognize scams, avoid exploitation, and build safer digital habits.
