Microsoft launched new Azure AI Foundry updates that make developing, managing, and scaling multi-agent AI systems easier for developers.
The Microsoft Agent Framework public preview introduces an open-source SDK that combines research efforts, such as AutoGen and Semantic Kernel, into a commercial-ready framework.
Developers now can integrate APIs, orchestrate advanced agent workflows, and integrate between platforms like Microsoft 365 Copilot and other agent platforms.
The launch also includes multi-agent workflows (private preview), better observability tools with OpenTelemetry, and the Voice Live API, now available at large for live, voice-driven AI agents.
In addition, new Responsible AI features like task compliance, prompt shields, and PII detection are being added to allow businesses to fill the trust deficit in AI adoption.
With all these new features, Microsoft is positioning Azure AI Foundry as an enterprise-class, trusted platform for building and scaling AI agents.
