Google Expands Performance Max With Waze Ads and New Channel Reporting

Google is rolling out new updates for Performance Max campaigns, providing marketers with even better visibility across various surfaces.

Starting immediately, Performance Max will provide U.S. businesses with access to Waze ads inventory for store goals, making their locations appear as “Promoted Places in Navigation” pins right on users’ maps.

There’s no additional setup required; this will automatically optimize toward Store Visits, Store Sales, or Local Actions in real-time as users navigate, now, especially important during peak holiday travel.

Waze inventory will come to more markets in 2026.

The added channel performance reporting also provides much better transparency for advertisers on where their ads are served across Google’s surfaces.

Search partner reporting will be introduced to the channel view in the coming weeks, and the report will be accessible through manager accounts.

This builds on recent improvements that include bulk reporting, segmentation, and downloadable performance data.

These enhancements aim to provide marketers with deeper control and better attribution within Performance Max.
