Anthropic Partners With Iceland To Launch National AI Education Pilot

Anthropic is teaming up with Iceland’s Ministry of Education and Children on one of the world’s first national AI education pilots, putting Claude into the hands of teachers nationwide.

Hundreds of educators, from Reykjavik to the most remote villages, will be provided with access to AI tools, training materials, educational resources, and a dedicated support network to improve lesson preparation and student learning.

The initiative aims to reduce administrative workload, improve personalized instruction, and responsibly integrate AI into classrooms while safeguarding linguistic and cultural values.

Teachers will be able to utilize Claude to analyze complex texts, create customized lesson plans, adapt materials for diverse learners, and provide AI-powered support to students.

Today’s pilot builds on broader momentum as European governments start deploying AI to modernize public services.

Using Iceland as a model, Anthropic aims to pursue other similar partnerships worldwide and continue to support educators who pioneer AI-assisted teaching strategies.
