Apple Becomes Exclusive Broadcast Partner For Formula 1

Apple and Formula 1 have partnered in a five-year agreement that will have all F1 races broadcast live exclusively on Apple TV from next year.

The deal is Apple’s biggest so far into live sports streaming, with subscribers receiving all practice, qualifying, Sprint, and Grand Prix sessions.

Free live streaming of some races will also be available in the Apple TV app.

This partnership further expands Apple’s growing sports platform, bringing F1 coverage to Apple News, Maps, Music, and Fitness+, and Apple Sports will offer real-time racing data, leaderboards, and widgets.

The partnership comes on the heels of international success of F1 The Movie, Apple’s record-breaking racing film that has earned over $629 million globally.

With the U.S. fan base of Formula 1 now over 52 million and expanding quickest among 18-24-year-olds, Apple seeks to reimagine how fans can engage in the sport with premium, interactive coverage.

Further information on the new broadcast experience and platform functionality is set to launch in advance of the 2026 F1 season.
