AWS Expands Outposts Storage Integration With Dell and HPE

AWS is extending its Outposts third-party storage integration program to include Dell PowerStore and HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000, joining existing support for NetApp and Pure Storage FlashArray.

This expansion allows customers to run AWS Outposts seamlessly with leading enterprise storage arrays, enabling hybrid cloud deployments that preserve on-premises storage investments while taking advantage of AWS services.

The integration is especially useful for organizations migrating VMware workloads to AWS and for enterprises that must meet strict data residency requirements.

The program now supports both data and boot volumes with iSCSI SANboot and Localboot options, giving customers flexibility in managing workloads through the AWS Management Console.

With support available on Outposts 2U servers and both rack generations, users can pair enhanced EC2 performance—including increased vCPU, memory, and bandwidth—with their preferred storage.

Available at no extra cost across supported AWS Regions, the update strengthens AWS’s commitment to hybrid cloud, offering enterprises greater choice and flexibility in their migration journeys.
