Anthropic has introduced memory to the Claude app, allowing teams to keep context across projects without re-explaining details.

Memory allows Claude to remember work patterns, client needs, and project specifics, helping teams stay efficient and focused.

The feature creates project-specific memories, ensuring sensitive client work stays separate from internal planning, while also providing users with a memory summary that can be viewed, edited, or updated at any time.

Memory is optional, with granular controls that let users decide what Claude remembers.

For added privacy, Claude now includes Incognito chat, which enables conversations that don’t save to history or memory, and is ideal for confidential brainstorming or sensitive strategy discussions.

Enterprise admins can also disable memory across their organizations if needed.

The new feature is rolling out first to Team and Enterprise plan users, with Incognito chat available for all Claude users.

By combining memory with strong boundaries and controls, Anthropic aims to make Claude more useful in professional settings while maintaining trust and security.

With memory, each conversation builds on the last, creating a smarter, more personalized AI assistant for complex team workflows.
