Google introduced a new Gemini feature, Personal Intelligence, in 2026, allowing users to connect Google apps such as Gmail, Photos, YouTube, and Search to the AI assistant.
The feature launched in beta for eligible Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the United States.
The company said users could link their apps with a single tap, giving Gemini access to emails, images, and search history to answer questions with more personal context.
Google said the feature worked across web, Android, and iOS, and across all Gemini models.
Personal Intelligence was designed to retrieve and reason across different data types, including text, photos, and video.
Google said Gemini could use connected sources to find specific details, compare options, and generate responses tailored to a user’s past activity.
Google said the feature would expand over time to additional countries, the free tier, and AI Mode in Search, but it would not be available for Workspace, enterprise, or education accounts during the beta.
