Google DeepMind has released Veo 3.1, a major update to its AI video generation system, along with new creative tools in Flow, its filmmaking platform.
Since Flow’s debut five months ago, creators have produced more than 275 million videos, and the new update focuses on providing greater artistic control and realism.
Veo 3.1 delivers enhanced prompt accuracy, improved audiovisual quality, and realistic textures that elevate AI-generated storytelling.
Flow now includes audio support for “Ingredients to Video,” “Frames to Video,” and “Extend,” letting creators synchronize sound with visuals for more immersive scenes.
Users can also add or remove elements using the new “Insert” tool and create longer clips that build from previous footage.
Veo 3.1 is now available through the Gemini API, Vertex AI, and the Gemini app, providing creators and developers with access to advanced AI-powered filmmaking capabilities.
