Google announced a new experimental app for Windows in Labs, designed to make search faster and more seamless.
With a simple press of Alt + Space, users can instantly look up information in their computer files, installed apps, Google Drive, and the web, all without switching windows or breaking focus.
The app also integrates Google Lens, enabling on-screen search for images or text with tools like translation and homework help. In AI Mode, users can receive deeper, contextual responses with follow-up options and links.
Available now through Labs, this experiment directly brings Google’s search and AI capabilities into the Windows workflow.
