IBM announced that it has acquired Txture GmbH, an Austrian cloud modernization software company, to help clients modernize and simplify their complex hybrid cloud environments.
Txture’s automation platform analyzes large IT portfolios and offers recommendations on modernization strategies, enabling IBM Consulting teams to reduce manual labor, accelerate cloud migration, and drive greater cost and sustainability outcomes.
The technology will be embedded in the IBM Consulting Advantage platform, delivering businesses faster and more insight-based paths to the cloud.
Since 2017, Txture has powered more than 100 cloud transformation projects and executed more than 50,000 applications worldwide, helping companies solve modernization challenges with precision.
IBM reports that the acquisition complements its application migration and hybrid cloud strategy services, and supports a larger initiative to drive value delivery faster through asset-driven consulting.
With the addition of Txture, IBM wants to give clients more confidence and control to modernize technology and reduce their IT footprint.
