Instagram’s Big Change: Your Posts Can Now Pop Up on Google

Google and other search engines will index Instagram’s public photos and videos from Business and Creator accounts starting July 10, 2025.

This allows content to be discovered outside Instagram without requiring an account login.

Creators can optimize captions and hashtags with keywords to improve search visibility, while users concerned about privacy can opt out via settings, though de-indexing may take time.

The change aligns Instagram with platforms like X, where public content is already searchable, aiming to boost discoverability for professional accounts.
