Spotify has added a new Messages feature that lets users chat and share music, podcasts, or audiobooks right inside the app.
Instead of sending links through other apps, you can tap the share icon while listening and send content directly to friends you’ve already connected with.
This new messaging feature is available on mobile devices for free and for Premium users aged 16 and over, and it is rolling out in select markets.
The chats are one-on-one, support emoji reactions, and offer privacy controls.
Users can accept or reject message requests, and Spotify uses encryption and moderation to keep things safe.
