Manus is joining Meta, bringing its autonomous AI agent platform and team into Meta’s broader push to develop task-performing AI systems.
The announcement was made on December 29, 2025. Financial terms were not made public.
The Singapore-based company built a general-purpose AI agent capable of handling multi-step work such as research, automation and complex digital tasks.
Manus said its agent has already processed more than 147 trillion tokens and generated more than 80 million virtual computers since launch, reflecting rapid user adoption across consumer and business use cases.
Meta said it plans to integrate Manus’s technology into Meta AI and other products while Manus continues selling subscriptions through its app and website.
The company will keep operating from Singapore, and its existing service will remain available to current customers.
In statements announcing the move, Manus CEO Xiao Hong said joining Meta would provide a stronger foundation without altering how the product functions or how decisions are made.
Meta said Manus’s team will focus on building general-purpose agents for both consumer and enterprise products.
