At the AI Infrastructure Summit in Silicon Valley, NVIDIA unveiled a bold new vision to reimagine traditional data centers as fully integrated AI factories.
Led by Ian Buck, NVIDIA’s VP of Accelerated Computing, the initiative introduces Omniverse Blueprints and simulation-ready digital twins that unify power, cooling, compute, and orchestration into a single system-level design.
The goal is to optimize every watt of energy to directly support AI reasoning workloads, setting a new standard for gigawatt-scale facilities.
NVIDIA is working with partners including Jacobs, Siemens Energy, Schneider Electric, GE Vernova, Vertiv, Cadence, phaidra.ai, and PTC to build these AI-enabled infrastructures.
Jacobs is serving as the design integrator, while Siemens Energy and GE Vernova are powering electrification and on-premise energy delivery.
By leveraging digital twin technology in OpenUSD-based Omniverse simulations, partners can model facilities before they’re built, test resilience, and orchestrate operations in real time once they go live.
This approach connects data centers directly to power grids, water supplies, and transportation networks, ensuring scalable, resilient, and efficient operations.
With this blueprint, NVIDIA is moving beyond chips and GPUs into a new class of industrial products designed for AI-scale computing.
These AI factories will not only accelerate intelligence generation but also reshape how enterprises design, deploy, and manage their infrastructure.
