OpenAI has announced the launch of OpenAI Grove, a new program designed for individuals at the start of their company-building journey.
Unlike a traditional accelerator, Grove focuses on pre-idea technical talent, those deeply curious about building in AI but not yet committed to a specific direction.
Participants will gain access to a dense network of peers, mentorship from OpenAI researchers, and early access to cutting-edge tools and models.
The first cohort will include around fifteen participants who will spend five weeks at OpenAI’s San Francisco HQ.
Programming includes in-person workshops, weekly office hours, and one-on-one mentoring sessions with OpenAI’s technical leaders.
Beyond structured learning, the program emphasizes exploration and experimentation, allowing participants to co-build alongside OpenAI experts and community members.
OpenAI Grove is intended to serve as the foundation of a long-term network.
Graduates of the program can choose to raise capital, pursue projects independently, or even continue working within OpenAI’s ecosystem.
Applications for the first cohort are open through September 24, 2025, and OpenAI encourages individuals from diverse backgrounds and experience levels to apply.
