OpenAI Quietly Launches Its Own Task-Running ChatGPT Agent

OpenAI is rolling out a built-in ChatGPT agent designed to handle multi-step tasks automatically.

Instead of guiding the AI with every individual prompt, users can now assign a goal, like planning a trip, researching a topic, or summarizing a document.

The agent will figure out the best way to complete it using tools like the browser, code interpreter, and memory.

It’s a big move toward making AI feel more like a virtual assistant than a chatbot.
