Samsung Details TV Roadmap and Vision AI At CES 2026

Samsung Electronics detailed its plans for the next phase of television during a Visual Display Deep Dive session at CES 2026 in Las Vegas.

The session was led by SW Yong, president of the Visual Display Business, and outlined the company’s roadmap for 2026 and beyond.

Samsung said the global TV market is entering a period defined by premium demand, larger screen sizes, and intelligent features.

The company plans to expand AI capabilities across its lineup while continuing to focus on picture quality.

Micro RGB and OLED are expected to lead the premium segment, while mini-LED models will broaden access to higher-end features, according to the presentation.

A central part of the roadmap is Vision AI Companion, or VAC, an AI platform designed to make TVs more conversational and personalized.

Samsung said VAC will be integrated across most of its 2026 TV lineup and will recognize on-screen content, anticipate viewer needs, and surface contextual information directly on the display.

Samsung also highlighted new hardware, including a 130-inch Micro RGB TV described as an industry first.

The company said ultra-large displays, updated designs, and lifestyle-focused models will remain key pillars of its product strategy as it marks 20 consecutive years as the top global TV brand.

Why This Matters Today

The announcements point to TVs becoming more interactive devices that integrate with broader smart-home systems rather than serving only as displays.

For you, that means future televisions may offer on-screen assistance, personalized content features, and more seamless connections to other devices.

The focus on larger screens, Micro RGB, OLED, and mini-LED also reflects a shift toward premium models as manufacturers chase higher margins and consumers seek cinematic experiences at home.

Samsung’s emphasis on AI features highlights how leading TV manufacturers are utilizing software to differentiate their new models.
