Samsung Launches Galaxy Z TriFold

Samsung Electronics has officially announced its first multi-folding smartphone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, as it seeks to maintain its technological lead against fast-moving competitors.

The device features two inward-folding hinges that open up to reveal an expansive 10-inch display.

It will go on sale in South Korea on December 12 with a price tag of approximately $2,449.

A release in the United States is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.

The new device is designed to test the waters for multi-fold technology before Apple potentially enters the market.

When folded, the TriFold measures 12.9 millimeters thick, which is slightly bulkier than previous dual-fold models but allows for a desktop-like experience with three apps running side by side.

Samsung positions the device as a productivity powerhouse that strikes a balance between portability and performance.

It features the largest battery capacity among the company’s foldable lineup to support the massive screen
