Samsung Electronics announced a significant collaboration with NVIDIA to build a new AI Megafactory designed to reshape global manufacturing with intelligent data-driven processes.
Leveraging more than 50,000 NVIDIA GPUs and the NVIDIA Omniverse platform, Samsung will connect semiconductor design, production, equipment monitoring, and quality control on a single intelligent network.
It thus enables real-time analytics, predictive optimization, and shorter development cycles across next-generation chip and device manufacturing.
The effort builds on more than 25 years of collaboration between the companies, resulting in the joint development of high-bandwidth HBM4 memory, GPU-accelerated EDA tools, and advanced digital twin infrastructure.
Over the next few years, Samsung will scale its AI Factory model across global manufacturing hubs, including its site in Taylor, Texas, while using NVIDIA’s computing libraries to enhance computational lithography, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance.
Samsung also expands its work in humanoid robotics and physical AI by running its robots on NVIDIA’s RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell and Jetson Thor platforms, both of which enable real-time reasoning and autonomous decision-making for robots.
Beyond manufacturing, Samsung collaborates with telecom operators and research institutions to develop AI-powered mobile networks, known as AI-RAN, that enable edge-connected devices, such as robots and drones, to perform with far greater intelligence.
Together, Samsung and NVIDIA are building a future where AI-driven manufacturing accelerates innovation across semiconductors, mobile devices, robotics, and industrial infrastructure worldwide.
