Siemens and NVIDIA announced an expansion of their strategic partnership to develop what the companies described as an industrial AI operating system.
The news was disclosed on January 6, 2026, at CES. The effort focuses on AI-driven tools for product design, factory operations, and supply chain management.
Under the agreement, NVIDIA will supply AI infrastructure, simulation libraries, models, and frameworks. Siemens will contribute industrial AI specialists along with its hardware and software products.
The companies said the goal is to support AI-accelerated engineering, simulation, and automated production.
The partnership includes plans to deploy AI-enabled “adaptive” manufacturing sites beginning in 2026. Siemens’ Electronics Factory in Erlangen, Germany, is expected to serve as the first reference site.
