SoftBank Corp. and Oracle Corporation have announced a strategic collaboration to offer secure, sovereign, and scalable cloud and AI services in Japan.
Powered by Oracle Alloy, SoftBank will launch its new Cloud PF Type A platform, offering over 200 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services from data centers located in both eastern and western Japan.
The initiative aims to boost national data sovereignty while supporting advanced workloads, such as generative AI and high-performance GPU computing.
Through this partnership, SoftBank will integrate OCI’s key management and private network capabilities with its own security systems to ensure robust encryption, compliance, and operational resilience.
The first deployment is scheduled to launch in April 2026, with expansion to western Japan following later that year.
By combining Oracle’s global infrastructure expertise with SoftBank’s managed service and connectivity solutions, the collaboration is set to accelerate Japan’s digital transformation and secure its AI-driven economic future.
