They pay as an engineer is the first thing people thing of as engineers are thought to have high salaries. Most engineering students think they’ll come out of college making over 6 figures which unfortunately isn’t the case. Work life balance is another discussion as engineering can be fairly stressful around deadlines. This can mean working overtime and on the weekends to be able to get your projects done.
