Threads has rolled out a major update that allows users to attach up to 10,000 characters of formatted text to their posts.

This feature eliminates the need for screenshots of notes or external documents, giving creators and professionals a direct way to share essays, articles, and longer perspectives within the app itself.

The formatting options make posts more polished and easier to read, bringing a new long-form layer to the platform.

Meta says the update is designed to help people share richer ideas and deeper conversations without leaving the app.

By attaching full text directly to a post, users can deliver more context, analysis, or storytelling, making Threads a stronger competitor to platforms built around long-form content.

For creators, this means more flexibility in how they engage audiences, from thought leadership posts to in-depth breakdowns of industry news.
