With wellness-related communities like #JournalTok and #NatureTok continuing to grow, TikTok’s new hub introduces features such as daily affirmations, calming audio, and guided breathing exercises.
The update reflects the platform’s broader push to help people slow down and engage more intentionally, especially as interest in meditation and mindfulness rises among its global user base.
The update also continues TikTok’s focus on teen safety and digital well-being.
Teen accounts already have more than 50 preset safeguards, and earlier this year, TikTok introduced built-in meditation, expanded Family Pairing tools, launched Time Away controls, and rolled out AMBER Alerts across the U.S.
The new Time and Well-being space builds on these efforts by providing more accessible resources and clearer guidance from creators who specialize in mental health and habit formation.
Alongside the new hub, TikTok is launching four Well-being Missions, interactive challenges that encourage users, especially teens, to build healthier screen time habits.
These missions include staying offline during Sleep Hours, setting daily limits, reviewing weekly screen reports, and inviting others to join.
Users earn badges for completing tasks, and early testing shows strong engagement, with the affirmation journal proving to be the most popular new feature.
TikTok will also contribute $100,000 to the Tech Coalition SafeOnline Research Fund as part of its ongoing support for digital well-being research.
