Transit Tech Firm Via Valued At $3.5B After NYSE Debut

Via Transportation, a leading transit technology company, began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on September 12, 2025, under the “VIA.”

Shares opened at $44, below the initial offering price of $46, causing the stock to close down 4.4% on its first day and valuing the company at $3.5 billion.

Despite the dip, Via and its selling shareholders raised $493 million by selling 10.7 million shares.

Via had priced its initial public offering a day earlier, offering 10,714,285 shares of Class A common stock, 7.1 million from the company and 3.5 million from selling stockholders.

The underwriters also hold a 30-day option to purchase up to 1.6 million additional shares.

The offering was managed by Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Allen & Company, and Wells Fargo Securities as lead bookrunners, with several other financial institutions participating.
