Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced the launch of GitHub Spark, a new addition to GitHub Copilot that transforms simple natural language ideas into fully functional full-stack applications.

In a LinkedIn post, Nadella described the tool as part of Microsoft’s broader push to reimagine software development through AI.

Developers can now describe an app, like a chatbot, note-taking tool, or even a restaurant finder, and Spark will automatically generate backend, frontend, hosting, and deployment.

GitHub Spark is built into Copilot and designed to streamline the entire development process.

It also integrates with GitHub Codespaces, GitHub Actions, and offers live previews of the app as it’s being built.
