Veeam To Acquire Securiti AI

Veeam is announcing a definitive deal to acquire Securiti AI in a $1.725 billion transaction, creating a unified control plane that combines data resilience with data security posture management, privacy, governance, and AI trust across applications, clouds, SaaS, endpoints, and backups.

The combined platform is built to enable CIOs, CISOs, and CDOs to understand their entire data estate, secure it with near-zero data loss and less than one minute of downtime, recover and roll back data and AI accurately, and securely power AI initiatives.

Veeam says the move addresses core blockers to AI success, data fragmentation, growing cyber risk, and compliance burden—by providing enterprises with a single command center for production and secondary data.

Following this, Securiti AI CEO Rehan Jalil will join Veeam as President of Security and AI, and Veeam will continue to offer Securiti AI’s Data Command Center while introducing new integrated capabilities.

The pact arrives as businesses struggle to leverage unstructured data that accounts for 70–90 percent of business data and as studies reveal 80–90 percent of AI projects falter due to the accuracy, lineage, permissions, identity, and privacy of data.

Powered by Securiti AI’s knowledge-graph-based Data Command Center and agentic AI framework, customers can automate data intelligence, access governance, and controls, while Veeam brings proven backup, recovery, and cyber resilience to keep operations running.

The transaction is expected to close in Q4, pending approval.
