Reddit Launches Max Campaigns Beta For AI Ads

Reddit launched Max campaigns in beta on January 5, 2026. The company described the new feature as an automated campaign type for traffic and conversion objectives. 

Max campaigns use AI and Reddit Community Intelligence to predict ad impression value and adjust settings in real-time.

The system automates targeting, creative selection, placement, and budget allocation. Advertisers retain options to apply manual controls.

During alpha testing with over 600 participants, early results showed average improvements of 17% lower cost per acquisition and 27% more conversions compared to standard campaigns. 

Brooks Running reported a 37% decrease in cost per click and 27% more clicks in one test.

Max campaigns also include tools for generating headlines with trending Reddit language and converting images to platform formats. Video cropping features will arrive soon. 

A new reporting tool called Top Audience Personas clusters viewers into groups and reveals their current interests based on campaign data and Reddit’s post history.
